Project Summary
The Govans Elementary School project included the construction of a new 83,380 SF charter elementary school and the demolition of the existing school. The new building features a two-story specialty wing and a three-story educational wing. The specialty wing consists of administrative offices, student support services, community space, a gymnasium, specialty classrooms, and a cafeteria/kitchen. The educational wing is comprised of classrooms, collaborative areas, and learning support spaces. The design of the building façade incorporates two brick colors with metal composite panels and wood-like metal cladding. The project is tracking to receive a LEED Silver certification.
