Project Summary

The Loudoun County Transit Maintenance and Operations Facility project included the construction of a 6,994 SF administrative building, a 20,309 SF bus maintenance building, and two separate parking areas for employees and commuter buses. The one-story administration building features a movable partition and contains an information technology room, offices, a conference room, bus driver waiting/ready rooms, restrooms, and locker rooms. The bus maintenance building consists of five maintenance bays, a drive-through bus wash and detail bay, tire room, parts counter, storage room, administrative offices, reclaim room, lube/compressor room, work bench areas, electrical and information technology rooms, and a mezzanine. Sustainable features of the project include ground source heat pumps and a geothermal well.
