Project Summary

This new public safety building contains facilities for the Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC) Fire and Rescue Station No. 21 and the MWEOC Health Unit. The project included four drive-through apparatus bays with fold doors, an emergency alerting system, living areas, fitness and training rooms, as well as PPE, SCBA, EMS, and HAZMAT storage. In addition, the facility features a three-story training tower with specialty hollow metal doors and frames as well as confined space manholes and anchors. Site improvements consisted of earthwork and grading, erosion and sediment control, storm water management, utility installation, concrete curbs and sidewalks, asphalt pavement, site lighting, parking wheel stops, patio, and turf and landscaping.
