Project Summary

The George Mason University Eastern Shore and Hampton Roads student housing project consisted of two buildings, Building Z and Building Y. Building Z was 70,800 SF and featured five levels with 192 beds. Building Y consisted of six-levels and 124,300 SF with 408 beds and a 120-seat dining venue. These cast-in-place concrete buildings contained one- and two-bedroom suites, laundry rooms, living rooms, study lounges, a computer area, and seminar room. Sustainable features included storm water management and local building materials that were recycled, certified, and low emitting.
